Inclement Weather For Swim Meets

Cancellation or delay of meets will follow the policies of the host organization and the facility where the meet is held. Questions regarding delays or cancellation should be directed to the contacts listed on the Meet Notice, which is accessible on the MD Swimming website.

Inclement Weather For Practices

If the weather is questionable, call the CCBC Catonsville Weather Line at (410) 455-4567. Inclement weather decisions are made by CCBC Catonsville. If the college is closed, GBSA cannot hold practice. If the college is open, then GBSA will train. If GBSA makes the decision to cancel practice while the college is open you will be contacted electronically and possibly by phone. This is another GREAT REASON to check your e-mail and the team website each day (or at least your practice days) to be fully informed and in touch with the team!!

Lightning Policy

In the event of thunder and/or lightning activity in the immediate area, we must clear the pool. GBSA will continue practice with dryland activities in the event of electrical storms, and parents should plan on picking up swimmers at the regular time. Depending on the length of the storm, practice length may be shortened, and parents will be contacted by e-mail.
